Dealing with Non-Compliance – Development in St. Andrews

We were introduced to this project by the client’s solicitor. The property had been partially renovated by the existing owner who was selling it on a ‘sold as seen’ basis. The client was seeking advice on the standard of works carried out to date and it’s compliance with current Codes of Practice and Building Standards, Warrant Drawings and Planning Permissions.

Outcome

After meeting the client on site and surveying the property we were able to determine and advise on these issues, missing permissions, close expiration of existing permissions.

After researching the project further we were able to re-introduce the original architect, re negotiate details relating to the title deeds, move forward with the client and project manage the development of the 5 bedroom house to completion (£100k+).
